Neck Stretch

Begin standing or sitting. Bend your neck forward, bringing your chin toward your chest (figure 4.6a). Extend your neck, bringing your chin toward the ceiling (figure 4.6b). Flex your neck to the side and bring your ear toward your shoulder (right ear to right shoulder and vice versa), as in figure 4.6c. Hold each stretch for 10 to 30 seconds, feeling the stretch in the back, front, and sides of your neck, respectively.
